Substance Painter adds Sketchfab integration

We’re excited to announce that interactive texture painter Substance Painter has added a Sketchfab exporter in their newest release!

We worked closely with them to make exporting your projects to Sketchfab as easy as possible. Under the hood, it works by matching texture and material names to their appropriate PBR channels.

Once your model is ready, go to File → Export all Channels, choose Sketchfab from the Config dropdown, and click Export:


The files will be prepared and the Sketchfab upload dialog will open. Log into your Sketchfab account, add model metadata, and click Upload:


To celebrate this new integration, we’re giving all Substance Painter users a free 90-day Sketchfab PRO license! Just upload a model with their new exporter and the 90 days will be added to your Sketchfab account.
