MasterpieceVR now supports Sketchfab

Back to overview

Have you tried MasterpieceVR yet? The app is a new way to sculpt and paint using intuitive, dynamic tools in VR. And better yet, it allows you to sculpt with friends or co-workers in the same virtual room in real-time, or invite spectators to watch you work.

Unlike some other VR creation tools, MasterpieceVR aims to provide a comprehensive toolset to allow the creation of very robust artwork.

The app launched in September and supports both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift and it’s available to purchase on Steam, Viveport, the Oculus Store, and Microsoft store.

Starting today you can now export your creations to Sketchfab directly from within the software. That’s a great way to share your masterpieces with the world.

And MasterpieceVR can also be used as a modeling tool threaded into a workflow with additional software to animated, such as in this example which used Blender for rigging and animation:

To see more of what MasterpieceVR is capable of be sure to follow their official profile here on Sketchfab and check out some phenomenal tagged work.

So what are you waiting for? We want to see your masterpieces. We’ll be keeping our eyes open for the best work uploaded to Sketchfab in the coming weeks. And don’t forget, we’re sponsoring MasterpieceVR’s sculpting contest, “Do Androids Dream of Electric Reindeer?” with some great AMD Ryzen, Vega, and Radeon Pro prizes up for grabs. If you’re quick, there’s still time to enter.
