In Art Spotlight, we invite Sketchfab artists to talk about one of their designs.

Hey everyone! My name is Bryan Lindsey. I am a mobile app developer by day, and game developer/VR enthusiast/occasional artist by night. As far as 3D tools, the main modelling tool I use is Blender (I’m a big fan of open source projects). I also use Unity pretty frequently for game development. You can find some of the games (and other apps) I have made here on the Google Play Store. In addition, I was also fortunate enough to be able to get my hands on an HTC Vive, and I’m currently enjoying tons of virtual reality experiences.

Hello friends! This post is about my model “Mountain rebels”. The story of this scene is about three rebels living in the snowy mountains. The old man is Albrecht Božo, he survived the World War and now staying away from politics in his cabin. His son, Henrich Božo is chopping a logs for the fireplace. He is 34 years old. Not so young , but still can kick some capitalistic ass! Jacob Zlatan smokes a pipe with tobacco and resting after the expedition. He departed from his country and stay here with his war buddy.

Hey! My name’s Juuso Mattila and I’m a freelance game artist based in Turku, Finland. I got my foot under the game industry door about four years ago as a game programmer, but transitioned pretty quickly to more graphical sorts of things. Nowadays I mostly create outsourced art for a bunch of game companies with my studio Walk Mode, as well as do my own art projects (such as this cow) every now and again! Today I’m talking about my basic workflows for creating a cartoony looking 3D bovine, as well as go over some stuff about how I took VR into account while making the model.

Hi there! My name is Andrey. I’m 25, and I live in small town near Moscow, Russia. I have always been a pretty curious man, especially in terms of how technical things can be used to make art – like music concerts, videogames, light shows, etc. This is the most inspiring thing for me. I originally graduated as a microsystems engineer, then I worked as sound designer. I have been working as sound engineer for acoustic music recordings and TV shows for a few years. One day I suddenly found Sketchfab and thought – “Wow! Can you really watch 3D models in high quality right in your browser? That’s so cool! I must learn how to do it!” And surprisingly, I found my passion working with 3D. Right now, I’m temporarily working with video hardware as an engineer and spending all of my spare time getting better in modelling for real-time apps like games or VR.
